YIELD ASSESSMENT

Call on our experts for a comprehensive, efficient, and reliable assessment of your yield.

WHY EVALUATE?

In an increasingly competitive market, risk management is a major challenge for investors.

Based on its operational experience, 8.2 offers a wide range of services for assessing wind and solar power generation potential.

REEVALUATION OF WIND POWER PRODUCTION

Our engineers ave developed a reliable, high-performance tool for the purchase, sale, or refinancingof your wind farms. This tool uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to estimate the long-term production of operational wind farms based on historical SCADA data.

Our methodology for reevaluating yield is based on the following steps:

Use of historical 10-minute SCADA data from the wind farm, taking into account any changes to the wind farm configuration and various restrictions (environmental and technical).

Use of long-term reference satellite data, such as MERRA-2, ERA5, Vortex, etc.

Long-term modeling of wind behavior using the MCP (Measure, Correlate, Predict) algorithm, correlating historical SCADA data with satellite data (wind speed and direction, ambient temperature, and atmospheric pressure), while integrating wind sectors, seasonal biases, and time of day.
A machine learning model with cross-validation is used to reproduce turbine power curves based on SCADA parameters. Long-term production is then estimated based on this simulation and long-term wind data.

Various factors (unavailability of wind farms, technical electrical losses, environmental and technical constraints, future wake effects) are taken into account when calculating the P50.

An uncertainty analysis is performed to estimate production over 1 year, 10 years, and 20 years, as well as to determine P75 and P90 production over 20 years.
