To optimize the performance of your renewable energy production facilities, we offer a range of services to analyze the productivity of your assets.

Our wind power performance engineers perform 10-minute SCADA data analyses on 12 to 24 months of data. These analyses are effective and reliable tools for remotely assessing the performance of your wind farms at any point in their operational life (end of commissioning, end of warranty, end of maintenance contract, sale or acquisition of the farm).

SCADA data analysis

Since 2016, 8.2 has deployed a tool that evaluates the performance of operational wind farms by analyzing historical SCADA data. This analysis is based on a set of indicators and correlations between machine operating parameters targeting availability, production, and performance.

Our SCADA data analysis methodology is based on the following aspects:

Identify frequent breakdowns and highlight recurring technical issues to monitor on each wind turbine that affect turbine availability.

Verification of the correct implementation of environmental constraints to ensure compliance with environmental restrictions, as well as detection of unexpected constraints that could affect production.

Evaluation of turbine production and power curves to identify the least efficient machines and estimate potential gains.

This analysis makes it possible to reproduce the statistical behavior of the turbines through “learning,” with the aim of verifying the stability of the wind turbine's performance over time.

Study of the causes of variation in wind turbine performance by analyzing the following parameters: pitch angle, rotor rpm, nacelle alignment, etc.

Run test validation

At the end of commissioning, 8.2 recommends analyzing the data from the run tests.
