Operational performance assessment of a 15,6 MW wind farm in France
Project Context
The Client selected 8.2 Advisory to perform a SCADA performance analysis for their wind farm in France. The objective was to assess data quality, availability, curtailment impacts, and turbine performance based on operational SCADA data.
Scope of Work
8.2 Advisory provided an independent technical assessment, including:
- SCADA data quality review, including availability and anomalies
- Assessment of energy-based and time-based availability
- Wind direction and log code analysis
- Review of technical and environmental curtailments
- Power curve comparison based on IEC 61400-12
- Analysis of pitch angle, rotor RPM, and overall turbine performance
Key Results
- Independent confirmation of turbine operational readiness during commissioning
- Early identification of technical deviations and pending corrective actions
- Improved visibility on performance against contractual guarantees
- Support to the owner during discussions with the turbine supplier and EPC contractor
- Clear recommendations prior to handover and start of operations
